Since its establishment way back in 1966, AISCAT - Associazione Italiana Società Concessionarie Autostrade e Trafori - has, like all trade associations, been charged with collecting, comparing and presenting at a common table for exchange the experiences and needs of Italy's toll motorway and tunnel concessionaires.

In addition to this gathering of information on a case-by-case basis, AISCAT's activities have always been channelled in two fundamental directions:

• the standardisation of procedures and behaviour of each of the Association's members as regards the operation of the service and relations with users and with the Concessionee. All this whilst ensuring observance of the autonomy of the individual spheres of decision;
• uniformity of intents and the consequent presentation at all instances of the sector's interests and needs.

We therefore present AISCAT in these few pages, that want to represent the potential of the Association, and hence of the entire sector of motorway concessionaires, with the aim of making clear its essence, history, objectives and capabilities.

With this aim is a great pleasure for us to welcome you to the AISCAT web site and to the world of the Italian toll motorways Concessionaires.
