CCISS:
Coordination and Information Centre for Road Safety - groups
the Road Police, ANAS, ACI, AISCAT, AUTOSTRADE PER L'ITALIA,
RAI and the Carabinieri, according to the specific functions
of each entity that contributes to a central management system
for the collection, processing and co-ordinated dissemination
of road conditions information throughout Italy and for road
safety initiatives.
RADIO
RAI: Traffic information is provided in the 45 "ONDA
VERDE" and "ONDA VERDE PER VOI" news bulletins
broadcast daily over the radio channels RADIO RAI 1, 2 and
3 starting from 5.27 a.m. and in the 19 ISORADIO bulletins
broadcast throughout the day. ONDA VERDE - Viaggiare Informati
- are the motoring conditions news bulletins that have entered
their 22nd year of broadcasting.
ISORADIO:
Traffic information is provided in the 45 "ONDA VERDE"
and "ONDA VERDE PER VOI" news bulletins broadcast
daily over the radio channels RADIO RAI 1, 2 and 3 starting
from 5.27 a.m. and in the 19 ISORADIO bulletins broadcast
throughout the day. ONDA VERDE - Viaggiare Informati - are
the motoring conditions news bulletins that have entered their
22nd year of broadcasting.
RTL
102,5 VIARADIO: VIARADIO is a radio information service
on motorway conditions, stemming from the agreement between
the Autostrade per l'Italia SpA and the national radio broadcasting
station RTL 102.5 that is broadcast throughout Italy at the
single FM frequency of 102.5 (or adjacent frequencies).
INFORADIO: The information of user interest (traffic
and weather conditions, etc.) concerning the A22 Brennero-Modena
is broadcasted also through the "Inforadio" news
on two local stations every 30 minutes (at about 25 and 55
minutes on the hour), besides randomly in case of special
occurrences: -Bolzano Region NBC Radio Network for the A22
stretch that crosses the Trentino-Alto Adige Region; -Pico
di Mirandola Radio Station for the remainder A22 stretch.
For German-speaking users it is possible to receive the information
through the programmes of RAS (Radiotelevisione Azienda Speciale),
an Alto Adige public company for the broadcasting of programmes
in German language. The radio frequencies are shown on the
signs installed along the motorway.
TELEVIDEO:
It is possible to verify traffic conditions on the RAI-Televideo
channels, on page 646 (ANAS motorways), from pages 647 to
649 (toll motorways), on page 641 (ordinary roads conditions).
TGCOM:
On the MEDIASET websites it is possible to verify traffic
conditions.
REGIONAL TELEVIDEO
: Useful information on traffic and weather
conditions concerning the A22 Modena-Brennero, besides information
on possible interruption of services, can be obtained on the
RAI 3-Regional Televideo, by consulting page 425 of Trentino-Alto
Adige, Veneto, Lombardia and Emilia Romagna.
TELEVISION: On mornings from 6 to 8 a.m. the TV channels
Canale 5 (within the "Prima Pagina" news bulletin)
and La 7 in the news roll, you can get news on road conditions
provided by the Multimedia Centre of the Autostrade group
companies.
TELEPHONE: By dialling the toll-free number 1518 of
the CCISS (Coordination and Information Centre for Road Safety)
drivers can obtain traffic information of normal roads and
motorways. As well as giving news, the service also accepts
from drivers any notifications of traffic problems. Telephone
assistance is also offered through the various telephone numbers
indicated in the Guide for the individual motorway sections.
INTERNET: Navigate the AISCAT Internet website at www.aiscat.it for links to the sites of all of the Companies associated with it.

VARIABLE MESSAGE SIGNS: These remote-controlled signs are one of the main motorway user information systems. These electronic displays use symbols and text to indicate weather, traffic and circulation conditions on the motorway section they refer to. The signs are of two types: gantries (installed over the carriageways) and semi-gantries (installed at motorway entrances, at junctions with ordinary roads, when approaching a toll station).
